Want to support breast cancer survivors and thrivers during #BCAM? Here are 7 actionable tips to follow that consist of doing more than wearing pink. Pic 1, pre-mammogram: When you go in for your 6-month check-up mammogram three weeks early because you felt something worrisome... Ladies from the @youngsurvivalcoalition Chicago chapter came out last night for our first get-together of the year (and our belated holiday dinner!) While you should always #lovetheskinyourein, I'm here to remind you that breast cancer is not beautiful. It is horrible, debilitating, dehumanizing, and ugly. Today was my 6-month follow-up since my last mammogram, and it's just 2 weeks shy of my lumpectomy surgery year "anniversary". FINAL #Herceptin infusion was yesterday! I pray I'll never have to do this again. Second to last #Herceptin infusion! 🙏🏼 Sometimes I think people need to see to believe, so just wanted to share a quick "still in active treatment, just in the 'easier' part of it" pic ✌🏼 Was considering not doing one of these 10 years posts, and I'm sure other cancer fighters and survivors can relate, that looking back to days when we looked healthier before cancer isn't a memory we necessarily want to reflect upon.
